Great quality audio brings you much closer to the music you love, allowing you to hear a faithful reproduction of the sound that the artist intended. Leading music streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal have recently announced or released support for lossless audio, and Spotify listed high-quality music streaming as one of their most requested new features.

Until now, these lossless audio streaming options have required high-end equipment and a wired connection to reproduce the nuances of lossless audio. The NuraTrue Pro allows you to enjoy lossless music wherever you go, without compromising quality for convenience.

What Is Lossless Audio?

Lossless audio preserves all of the data from the original studio recording. In comparison, current Bluetooth streaming technology requires the amount of audio data to be compressed by 31%–56% in order to be transmitted, resulting in loss of detail and the addition of artifacts that negatively impact the listening experience. With Qualcomm aptX™ Lossless, CD-quality lossless audio (16-bit/44.1kHz) is transmitted and reproduced without any loss of information, exactly bit-for-bit as it was captured in the recording studio.

Three tracks are provided for you to compare. The first track uses lossless compression as experienced on the NuraTrue Pro. The second track uses the same compression as AirPods Pro (AAC at 256Kbps). The third track illustrates the difference between the first two tracks, containing everything that’s missing and the compression artifacts introduced, highlighting the limitations of current Bluetooth technology.

The NuraTrue Pro is also backwards-compatible with previous versions of Qualcomm aptX™ Adaptive/Classic, including 24-bit/96kHz lossy audio support at 880Kbps (~80% of lossless).

Phones with support for Qualcomm aptX™ Lossless include the ASUS ROG Phone 6 and Xiaomi 12S Ultra, with a handful more set to be released in the next few months. Most high-end Android phones released from early next year will also offer support.
